Gee's Bend Quilts. These works are "crazed" with fault: irregular stitching, crooked lines, but these "faults" are exactly what makes them beautiful art. Lee Love
Hi, Like your blog. I'm a clayart reader. I clicked on the image for "Gee's Crazy Quilts". The first image on the upper left is a whopper,suprise,suprise!That's the "Chunnel" between England and France, I think. No offense,here,thought that you'd want to know. Making stuff with mud. Warren Heintz
Hey, thanks for the response. I was attracted to this because of having seen the PBS program,which I recomend, docuementing these women. What is fine, was that these ladies,all living in near poverty and producings these fine works in vitual obscurity,have now found their place in the art world. You did good acknowledging their work.
